Microsoft’s new music player – the Zune – has received a scathing review in the Chicago Sun-Times. The review is so scathing that it makes for an entertaining read – even if you have no interest in music players.
The Zune is so hampered by DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) that it doesn’t work with three of Microsoft’s own products: Media Player, Vista, and the PlaysForSure standard.
Microsoft will learn the hard way that they should build products that customers want – not what greedy music companies want.
