		<description>In 1967 the NC legislature passed a law  making it illegal to listen in on conversations between a prisoner in custody and their attorney.  Although I&#039;m not sure what month the bill was passed in, generally, sessions of the legislature are finished by the end of summer or so.  So most likely the law had been passed a few months before, and I have to assume that this show was partially intended as support for the new law, which may have been controversial at the time.
